Uyanda Siyo aka “Uyas” started rapping and dancing in 2011.  At the time he was inspired by watching movies like Stomp the yard & You  got served. Watching Chris Brown and Ciara music videos gave birth to the New Born's dance crew which was inspired to create spiritual dance which they mostly performed at Church. The crew used dance to tell stories and in turn it gave them a relaxed mindset. Uyas used to go to cyphers and his love for music grew with every visit. He then decided to join a music crew called Elementary Rhymes but at the time he wasn't as interested in rap as he was in dance. His friend Lyrical Fiasco cemented Uyas's love for rap when he invited him to a show at The Mthatha town hall. Before that, Uyas was just focused in performing at Cyphers but when he performed at the show the crowd gave him great feedback which made him realise his gift. He believes that performing at cyphers laid a solid foundation for him. Uyas is inspired by artists such as Tunechi and Reason
